Monday Musings- Easter Look

How was your Easter weekend? I hope you had lots of yummy treats and spent some quality time with your loved ones. I had a wonderful Easter weekend, I got to meet up with Amanda from Latest-Wrinkle and Emily from Threads and Blooms, these are two amazing bloggers that I am lucky enough to call friends. We had some fun doing a few outfit shots, and you will be seeing the results of our day today and next week. 

Are you surprised I am wearing another 'poufy' skirt? I had a gift certificate from my local mall that I used to snag this amazing 424 Fifth skirt when it was on sale. So it cost me nothing-score! I even decided to shoot this look with my beloved glasses on, I normally leave them off because the lenses something cause glare in photos.

First off, you absolutely have to LOVE what you do in order to achieve success in your profession. To have a deep passion is so important. Secondly, taking risks is much easier when you don�t have a lot of other commitments and responsibilities in your life. Starting a business takes a tremendous amount of time to get it right. It takes persistence, grit and a never-quit attitude. Next, be prepared for countless obstacles and challenges, but those will only make you stronger and more appreciative of what will come. And finally, be realistic about how long it takes for most businesses to thrive. Try to have some savings built up that you can rely on in the event it takes your business a little longer than expected to really take off.

Monday Musings- Pink Lovebird

We are so close to Spring here in Ontario that this weekend I could wait no longer, and had to bring out my 'pinks and blues'. I finally found the perfect pair of earring studs. Blue Owl Designs  is owned by a fantastic sister duo Taylor and Sydney Campbell, these girls make the most incredible earring studs. Taylor and Sydney create their studs using glass, and druzy stones. Each pair of earrings is hand crafted and nickel free, so those with sensitive ears need not to worry! The craftmanship on the earrings in impeccable, the lovely see through effect of the glass compliments any outfit wonderfully.

Monday Musings-Happy March!

Happy MARCH! Finally, March is here, which brings with it some hope that winter will finally end. As lovely as snow looks in pictures, the extreme cold that has been coming along with it is getting exhausting. My students have not been outside to play at break time in over a week, and I am finding my motivation to go outside and shoot very minimal. Don't worry I have lovely things coming up! To start of this week, I am showing a blanket scarf that I purchased back in the fall, that has been a favourite of mine through the fall and winter seasons. It is so big, and drapes and wraps the body lovely. The pop of red plaid always looks stylish and this scarf makes for a great 'coat' when I don't feel like putting my real coat on.
